- Imbalanced cycling
Balance is the key not only to business but to all spheres of life. In our good old time of childhood, we learnt the cycling by putting all the energy & concentration a child can have. We don’t have count of the numbers we fall on the ground with bicycle but can now make it clear that it was the imbalance that resulted to our falling. As soon as we learnt to make a balance with all bicycle parts including peddles, breaks, steering; we learnt it to ride smoothly. The business can also be ride smoothly only if we are able to maintain the balance between all dimensions a business have. We all are aware about different dimensions of a business including Sales, production, accounts, HR, stock and some others depending on the type of business. But are we able to maintain & operate all of them smoothly? We keep on juggling between these but the successful businessman has mastered the art of balance.
- Over speeding
Over speeding to reach to target can actually cause accident. While you drive at an over speed you might not able to control if some sudden obstacle appears. Most of the business fails because they want to grab the market & eat a substantial chunk too early. This can cause sinking in to unbearable financial liabilities & damage to reputation along with doom of the business. Patience is the answer- patience & perseverance to good policies would ultimately make you winner for sure.
- Loosing connect
Once business settles after struggle of initial few years, there is fear of losing the sight. Its because of customers, a business reach at some comfortable state, but taking granted to them & getting the attention diverted can be a serious killer move. To be maintained at the top is much harder than to reach to the top.
- Lacking respect
Narcissistic thinking is a self-killer thought process. Nothing can be more dangerous than narcissistic CEOs & leaders of the business who want to take credit of all the achievements & have little respect for their subordinates. Please mind that it’s the motivation & appreciation that a team need more than anything else from their leaders & not a single business have tasted the sweet success without burning mid night oil by entire team.
- Hiring sucking team
Successful business is the result of a performing team. If you want to move fast on success ladder, be sure that you have a capable team. As in the first point, imbalanced cycling will take you nowhere & it’s the team that keep on peddling the busiycle (Business bicycle).
- Going over & above
Too much subjective & too quantitative is a problem many of the time causes collision. The battle of right & left brain is always in to existence & over inclination to any ideology can damage prospects of a smooth ride. Again, the key is balance between to different style of thinking. While it seems imperative the need of putting emotional angle to a particular issue, on the other hand a rational thought also seems to make more sense. An experienced businessman with good clairvoyance will always make a correct choice.
- Sailing through multiple boats
Starting too many business altogether or launching too many product/service line altogether without a proper research & investment of time can bring nothing other than failure. Each & every bit of the operation demands concentration, love & care. If you are unable to put enough time & money for each product line or business line than be sure to get undesired results. Its like raising too many child produced altogether by a single mother. Despite the fact, mother knows how many of her children are hungry; she will not be able to feed all of them properly.
- Over reaching to reap the crop before time
A meal is cooked with in a definite time period. Crop is reaped within a proper time frame. No matter how much extra manure, fertilizers or water we pour in, crop will take its own time to get reaped. On the other hand we increase the risk of crop getting damaged because of our over enthusiastic approach. So be patient to get the results.
